Four-star linebacker Storm Miller from the Class of 2026 has decided to leave his home state of Ohio and commit to an SEC powerhouse, Texas A&M. The 6-foot-3, 220-pound defender from Strongsville High School had considered playing for Ohio State but ultimately chose to join head coach Mike Elko and the Aggies. Miller is ranked as the No. 21 linebacker and the No. 11 player in Ohio, according to 247Sports.
Ohio State, led by head coach Ryan Day, was a strong contender to keep Miller in-state, along with Wisconsin, Michigan, and Texas A&M. However, Miller announced his decision on Wednesday, pledging to Texas A&M over the Buckeyes. His commitment strengthens the Aggies’ already impressive 2026 recruiting class, which currently ranks No. 4 nationally. Texas A&M’s class now includes ten four-star recruits, positioning them just behind USC, Clemson, and LSU in the rankings.
Miller had a standout junior season, excelling on both sides of the ball. Defensively, he recorded 90 total tackles, including 20 tackles for loss, 10 sacks, and an interception. After announcing his commitment on social media, Miller expressed his excitement about the next chapter of his career, stating, “Beyond blessed for this opportunity! Can’t wait to get to work! 100% COMMITTED! GIG ‘EM!”
Meanwhile, Ohio State continues to build a formidable recruiting class following its national championship victory. Although Miller would have been a valuable addition, the Buckeyes currently hold the No. 7 spot in the national rankings with eight total commitments, including two five-star recruits.
Before making his decision, Miller had planned multiple official visits, including trips to Wisconsin on May 29, Ohio State on June 13, and Stanford on June 20. However, with his commitment to Texas A&M now secured, it remains to be seen whether he will follow through with these visits.
