Denver Broncos general manager George Paton has emphasized the importance of strengthening both the offensive and defensive lines. In line with that, the team might be eyeing a reunion with Dalton Risner, a former second-round pick (No. 41 overall in 2019).
Risner recently hinted at potential landing spots during a TikTok livestream on April 19. While interacting with fans, he mentioned Denver among other possible destinations, including the Minnesota Vikings and Cincinnati Bengals. Although he hasn’t finalized a contract yet, he expressed confidence that he’ll be joining a team soon.
“I’m not on a team right now,” Risner shared with fans. “But I will be on a team soon. I could imagine. What do you guys think? Do you think it’s the Vikings? Do you think it’s back to Denver? Maybe the Bengals?”
Risner began his NFL career with the Broncos, playing four seasons in Denver before signing with the Vikings in 2023 and again in 2024. He’s coming off a one-year, $2.4 million deal and has earned a total of $13.4 million over his career.
During the stream, he explained that he is currently in discussions with multiple teams but didn’t confirm any decisions. “We’ll see where this journey leads us,” he said.
Throughout his NFL tenure, Risner has proven to be a reliable lineman, starting 81 of the 87 games he’s played, including eight starts for the Vikings in the 2024 season. As the Broncos look to reinforce their line, Risner could be a familiar and valuable addition, should talks progress in that direction.
