The Florida Panthers have secured one of their key contributors from their first Stanley Cup championship by signing Anton Lundell to a six-year, $30 million contract. The 22-year-old center will carry a $5 million cap hit annually, with the contract structured as follows: $3.4 million base and $2.5 million signing bonus in the first two years, $5.9 million in the third year, $5 million in the fourth, and $3.65 million in both the fifth and sixth years.

Panthers’ President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Bill Zito praised Lundell’s development and impact, stating, “Anton has matured into a dependable multirole center for our club, who seized his opportunity from his first day in North America. His commitment to improvement and cerebral approach to the game earned him the profound respect of his teammates and coaches, and we are excited to see him continue to grow and succeed with the Panthers.”

Last season, Lundell scored 13 goals and 22 assists for 35 points in 78 games, with a career-high 54.9 percent faceoff winning percentage. In the playoffs, he tallied 17 points in 24 games, including leading the Panthers in assists during the Stanley Cup Final. Drafted 12th overall in 2020, Lundell has 112 points in 216 career regular-season games and 28 points in 54 playoff games.
