**Texas Basketball Contacts St. John’s Transfer Forward**
The Texas Longhorns have reportedly reached out to Glenn Taylor Jr., a transfer forward from St. John’s. Taylor Jr. played 33 games, starting 21, under coach Rick Pitino last season.
Initially starting his college career at Oregon State, Taylor Jr. achieved career highs in points (11.6), rebounds (3.7), and assists (2.2) during the 2022-23 season before transferring to St. John’s. Last season, his performance dipped, averaging 4.4 points per game, but he had standout moments like scoring 17 points in a game against Butler.
The Longhorns, gearing up for their first SEC season, have added several new players, including transfers from Oregon State, Arkansas, Indiana State, and Vanderbilt. The team hopes to add Taylor Jr. to their roster for the upcoming season, which begins against Ohio State in Las Vegas on November 4.
