Reacting to Jared Goff’s demeaning ranking by PFF
Jared Goff of the Lions is ranked by PFF in an extremely insulting way. Our own Morgan and Meko respond to that.

Detroit Lions' Jared Goff is too low in PFF's QB rankings | Sporting News

QB Jared Goff of the Detroit Lions has gained a lot of admirers over his first three years in the Motor City since coming to the city via trade from the Los Angeles Rams back in 2021. Indeed, including all of us at Pride of Detroit.

Many of us staff members were called Goff “haters” for a long, although it was untrue from the beginning. In my own case, naturally, I wanted Goff to be successful in this position. For general manager Brad Holmes, head coach of the Lions Dan Campbell, and other team members, it was the easiest route to success. But in 2021 and even early 2022, Goff’s search for a place to live in Detroit felt like a difficult one.

Then, Goff and the rest of the Lions team started to get their bearings in the second half of the 2022 regular season. As I’ve stated numerous times in articles and videos, Goff accomplished something that, had you asked me in the fall of 2022, I would have thought was practically impossible: he revived the play that earned him the top choice in the 2016 NFL Draft. Though in these situations, I actually enjoy being proven incorrect.

After signing a contract extension and leading the Lions to a long postseason run in 2023, Goff is ready to take the helm of one of the best teams in the NFL once more.

After all of that, Pro Football Focus still has him ranked 16th overall? Yes, it is correct. Goff discovered him exactly in the middle of Trevor Sikkema’s ranking of all 32 NFL starting quarterbacks for 2024, published by PFF.

In this video, my dear friend Meko Scott and I analyze Sikkema’s tiered list and discuss where we would rank quarterbacks if it were our list. Warning: we both think Goff should be placed far higher than Sikkema has him at this time.
Please remember to like and subscribe to the Pride of Detroit YouTube channel as always. As we get closer to training camp, it really means a lot to us and helps the channel expand.
