Sreesanth has unveiled his selection for the Indian squad participating in the T20 World Cup, opting not to include KL Rahul. With the tournament commencing on June 1 in West Indies and USA, India’s inaugural match against Ireland on June 5 marks the beginning of their campaign. Offering his insights during a segment on Star Sports, Sreesanth presented a robust squad comprising a blend of experienced campaigners and emerging talents, aiming to break India’s drought in ICC tournaments.

Rohit Sharma, buoyed by his stellar performances in the IPL 2024, earns the captaincy nod from Sreesanth, leading a formidable lineup.

The batting arsenal boasts power hitters like Rohit, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Virat Kohli at the top, supported by a sturdy middle order featuring Shivam Dube and Suryakumar Yadav, promising to dominate opposing bowlers.

Wicket-keeping duties fall to Sanju Samson and Rishabh Pant, both in fine form, adding depth to the batting lineup with their prowess with the bat.

The squad is bolstered by the all-round capabilities of Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja, offering a balance of bowling, fielding, and batting prowess.

In the spin department, Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal form a formidable duo, known as Kulcha, poised to disrupt opponents’ batting partnerships.

The pace attack is spearheaded by Jasprit Bumrah, supported by Arshdeep Singh, Mayank Yadav, and Mohammed Siraj, equipped to dismantle opposition lineups with their aggressive bowling.

The 15-member squad selected by Sreesanth comprises Rohit Sharma (c), Rishabh Pant (vc & wk), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Suryakumar Yadav, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, Mohammed Siraj, Shivam Dube, Mayank Yadav, and Sanju Samson (wk).
