Entire Wests Tigers administration ousted as former NSW premier returns to embattled NRL club | Wests Tigers | The Guardian

Sunia Turuva is set to join his cousin Api Koroisau at the Wests Tigers, marking another departure from the Penrith Panthers’ ranks. The Tigers successfully secured Turuva’s signature, outpacing competition from the Dragons in the race for the Fijian international. Turuva opted to explore other options after the Panthers offered him a contract worth $350,000 per season, with the Tigers’ offer of $450,000 per season proving more enticing.

Despite Turuva’s initial preference to remain at Penrith, the opportunity to play alongside Koroisau and the recent addition of Jarome Luai to the Tigers’ roster influenced his decision to join the orange and black side. Turuva informed his Penrith teammates on Thursday morning of his departure, becoming the latest notable Panther to make the move to the Tigers, following in the footsteps of Koroisau and with Luai set to join in 2025. Other former Penrith players like Brent Naden and Charlie Staines are also part of the Tigers’ lineup, highlighting the ongoing exodus from the Panthers to their joint venture counterparts.
