Jabri Abdur-Rahim, a former guard for Georgia, recently announced his commitment to Providence after entering the transfer portal. Abdur-Rahim spent three years at Georgia following a season at Virginia. In the 2023-24 season, he had a standout performance, averaging 12.2 points and 3.5 rebounds in 29 games, with 27 starts. His 3-point shooting percentage of 35.6% closely matched his career average of 35.4%. Providence has now secured commitments from three transfer portal players, including Bensley Joseph from Miami and Christ Essandoko from Saint Joseph’s.

Another notable transfer is Malik Dia, a former forward from Belmont, who is transferring to Ole Miss. Dia began his college career at Vanderbilt before moving to Belmont. He had an impressive season, averaging 16.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game in 33 contests, with 24 starts.

Butler has also made a significant addition with the commitment of Jamie Kaiser, a forward transferring from Maryland. Kaiser, a highly-rated prospect in high school, had limited impact in his freshman year at Maryland, averaging 4.4 points and 2.0 rebounds per game.

Kansas State added guard Christian “CJ” Jones from Illinois-Chicago. Jones was a key contributor for UIC, averaging 9.0 points, 3.6 assists, and 2.7 rebounds per game over two years, with 50 starts in 62 games.
