This offseason, the Cleveland Browns and Chicago Bears will add three free agents.New York Jets at Cleveland Browns: Game predictions, picks, odds

The Chicago Bears will closely monitor the free-agency landscape of other teams in the coming month to identify potential players hitting the market, particularly those who could be strong additions to their roster. Following a successful season for the Cleveland Browns, key decisions loom for them as the offseason approaches. Here are considerations for players from the Browns who could be viable options for the Bears:

1. The Cleveland Browns boast a formidable offensive line, but uncertainties exist regarding their depth. Geron Christian emerges as a promising addition for the Chicago Bears. Despite serving as a depth option in the NFL since 2018, Christian played a significant role last year, logging 705 snaps at left tackle due to Jed Wills’ injury. With valuable experience at both left and right tackle positions, Christian’s presence could provide crucial depth for the Bears. Given uncertainties surrounding Braxton Jones, Christian’s inclusion could push Jones and potentially offer him an opportunity to play this season.

2. Nick Harris, a former fifth-round pick, is another candidate worth considering. Although he has limited playing time with 290 snaps at center and 161 at right guard, Harris could fill a depth role for the Bears. Considering the substantial void at center for the Chicago Bears, adding Harris to the roster is a plausible move.

3. Michael Dunn, a free agent after four years with the Cleveland Browns, presents another option. With 380 snaps at left guard, four at right guard, and two at left tackle, Dunn brings versatility to the offensive line. Given Teven Jenkins’s injury history, Dunn’s potential fit with the Bears makes logical sense.

4. Jack Conklin, while a notable name among the three, may become available if the Cleveland Browns opt to release or trade him as a post-June 1 cut. However, Conklin, at 30 years old and recovering from a torn ACL, primarily plays right tackle. Despite his prominence, he appears less likely to sign with the Chicago Bears due to these factors.
