Indiana’s Next Big Move? Why Conor Enright Could Be the Missing Piece

With Darian DeVries now officially appointed as Indiana’s head men’s basketball coach, he must quickly start assembling his first roster, with much of that process relying on the transfer portal.

One key addition is expected to be Tucker DeVries, Darian’s son and a current wing at West Virginia. Beyond that, DeVries will assess the existing roster to determine which players fit his vision for Indiana. He will have to decide whether to retain them or encourage them to explore other opportunities elsewhere.

Regardless, DeVries will be active in the transfer portal. One potential target already on Indiana’s radar is DePaul guard Conor Enright.

Enright just completed his first season with the Blue Demons, having joined Chris Holtmann’s rebuilding effort in Chicago. Before transferring to DePaul, he spent his first two years at Drake playing under DeVries.

This past season, Enright averaged 7.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game while shooting 32.5% from three-point range. These stats show improvement from his sophomore season at Drake, where he shot an impressive 43.9% from beyond the arc during the 2023-24 campaign.

With his prior experience playing under DeVries and his steady development, Enright could be a player to watch as Indiana navigates the transfer market.
