Latest News: List of players for Real Madrid’s Copa del Rey match against Atletico Madrid

Tomorrow night, Real Madrid will go to Civitas Metropolitano, just across town, to play Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey Round of 16.

Los Blancos will be motivated to continue their winning streak and guarantee a position in the cup competition’s quarterfinals after defeating Barcelona handily in the Spanish Super Cup final.

The roster of players Carlo Ancelotti will have available for tomorrow night’s matchup against Atletico has been made public on the eve of the game.

The roster that was available for last week’s Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia, which included Lucas Vazquez, Thibaut Courtois, David Alaba, and Eder Militao, has not changed significantly.

Despite missing practice today owing to a small ailment, Rodrygo Goes is listed in the squad; Ancelotti clarified that the Brazilian will be ready for tomorrow’s session.

Nico Paz is left off the list, but young players Mario Martin and Vinicius Tobias are also included.

When Real Madrid plays Atletico Madrid, the manager will make two significant midfield changes.

Real Madrid, who just returned from Riyadh as the Spanish Super Cup champions, has a busy schedule ahead of them. They will play Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey tomorrow.

The Merengues will be familiar with their opponent having already faced Atletico twice this season.

As a matter of fact, Real Madrid defeated Diego Simeone’s team in extra time during the Spanish Super Cup semifinal, which would surely boost their confidence going into the match.

The starting lineup will probably change a few times, though, considering Los Blancos’ struggles with injuries this season and the accelerating speed of the games.

The middle midfield has been modified.
In fact, as Jose Felix Diaz of MARCA claims Eduardo Camavinga and Luka Modric are set to start tomorrow’s match against Atletico.

Both Aurelien Tchouameni and Toni Kroos, who have racked up quite a few miles this campaign—especially Kroos—will be replaced by the two.

Kroos and Tchouameni would be permitted to start from the bench, rest, and be ready for the next schedule after starting the game in the Super Cup final versus Barcelona.

Carlo Ancelotti wants to rotate his midfield because he knows that the matchup with Atletico Madrid would be physical and that changing around the central midfield will help them handle Atleti’s intensity.

After recovering from an injury, Camavinga began the most recent cup encounter against Arandina earlier this month, although he was rested for the two Spanish Super Cup games.

In the meantime, Modric will be looking to repeat the result of the last game, which Madrid won 5-3 in extra time despite Atletico.
