Sevilla made fun of Mason Greenwood after Getafe lost the Copa del Rey 3-1.
In Spain, Greenwood is enjoying a fantastic season. Even though he was sent off against Rayo Vallecano and has some recent issues, the 22-year-old is still quite successful outside of Old Trafford.
His incredible goal against Almeria and his outstanding La Liga performance against Sevilla, where he not only scored but also provided an assist, have to be his season’s highlights thus far.
Mason was sadly unable to duplicate this outstanding performance against the same opponents in the Copa del Rey.
Thanks to two goals from Isaac Romero and a goal from Sergio Ramos, the Europa League champions defeated Getafe 3-1. Although Jaime Mata gave Getafe an equalizer, the visiting team eventually gained the upper hand and controlled the game.
Greenwood played a quiet game by his standards, but he was Getafe’s danger man. The 22-year-old was subsequently made fun of by the official English Sevilla account. The following was posted by them
