In a thrilling match, Tottenham secured a dramatic 2-1 comeback victory over Brighton, with substitute Brennan Johnson scoring the decisive goal in the 96th minute. The late show propelled Tottenham into the top four, as Johnson’s last-gasp goal, assisted by fellow substitute Heung-Min Son, secured the crucial win.

Brighton initially took a 17th-minute lead through Pascal Gross’s penalty, after Micky van de Ven fouled Danny Welbeck. However, Tottenham responded with determination, and Pape Sarr equalized in the 61st minute, extending their Premier League scoring streak to 36 consecutive games.

Despite Brighton’s efforts, including a missed opportunity by substitute Ansu Fati in the 76th minute, the game seemed destined for a draw. Yet, Richarlison and Son combined in the dying moments, setting up Johnson for the dramatic winner, moving Tottenham one point above Aston Villa into fourth place.

The defeat dealt a blow to Brighton’s European qualification hopes, leaving them in eighth place, 11 points off fifth-placed Villa. The match showcased end-to-end action, with both teams creating numerous goal-scoring opportunities, and the late heroics from Johnson secured a memorable victory for Tottenham.
