In a surprising move, Sullivan Garvin, a top 2026 offensive lineman from Michigan, has committed to Notre Dame, just 24 hours after the Irish welcomed their 2025 recruiting class.

Garvin chose Notre Dame over several other top schools, citing the coaches’ belief in him and their detailed plan for his development. He was impressed by the university’s world-class education, great location, and the coaches’ genuine interest in him. Garvin, who made multiple trips to South Bend, including a camp and two games, felt a strong connection with the Irish coaches, particularly head coach Marcus Freeman. He was thrilled to receive an offer from the Irish and knew that Notre Dame was his top choice. Garvin is excited to join the 2026 class and is looking forward to enrolling early and building relationships with his future teammates.
