QPR have let the pair link up with the National League North side to get some experience under his belts. They will spend the rest of the season with the non-league outfit.
Putman, 18, is a full-back, whilst Vaughan, 19, operates as a striker. Their new club are currently sat in 20th in the table as they look to stay up.
Ross Jenkins, their manager, stated on their website: “Jaiden is dynamic, athletic, mobile, full of energy, and he’ll give us something on the right side in terms of attacking ability.”
“Rohan has great attributes and can do a bit of everything; he can run in behind, hold the ball up, and has good physical attributes.” Although they are young men, they will infuse the team with energy.
We get along well with the club and have a nice relationship with QPR. To experience senior football, it’s crucial to tap into their great player pool. I hope they can bring something new to the team.
QPR will hope that the duo can get plenty of game time over the coming weeks and months.
They will then have a decision to make on what to do with them at the end of the campaign.
Putman has been on the books of the Hoops for his whole career to date.
The Feltham-born man has risen up through their academy ranks and has been a regular at various different youth levels over recent years.
He had a loan spell away at Barking earlier this term and will now be eager to show what he can do with Oxford City.
As for Vaughan, he was snapped up by QPR last May after a successful trial period.
The attacker made the move down to London after spending two years with fellow second tier outfit Burnley.
“QPR really impressed me with how much time they’ve invested in me and wanted me to be here,” he wrote on their website after joining the R’s. It seemed foolish to pass up this chance—a fresh task and a fresh environment. I am eagerly anticipating it.
QPR are back in action this weekend at home to Sheffield United.
They head into the match on the back of their 2-1 loss at Portsmouth.
