Former Birmingham City winger Jordan Graham is set to take his place in the Sky Sports studio for the first time on Tuesday as he watches his old side in action against Bradford City in the semi-finals of the Vertu Trophy.
Blues welcome the League Two Bantams to St Andrew’s to contest for a place in the Wembley showpiece in the middle of April, with Wrexham and Peterborough United fighting it out in the other side of the draw next Wednesday.
Blues have largely eased themselves through to this round of the competition; having been disappointed with a one-point haul and a penalty shoot-out defeat in the opening game with League Two leaders Walsall, they have since knitted together five straight wins in the competition – including sticking seven past Fulham under 21s in the group stages.
The game (8pm kick off) with Bradford will be the selection for Sky Sports on Tuesday night and coverage begins at 7:30pm (Sky channel 403). In the studio will be former player Graham, who tries his hand at punditry for the first time.
Graham, who came through the ranks at Aston Villa, joined Wolverhampton Wanderers before moving onto Gillingham in 2020. His form there earned him a move to Blues a season later under Lee Bowyer and he made 54 appearances for the club across two seasons at St Andrew’s.
Nowadays, he’s at League One rivals Leyton Orient, although he was ruled out with a serious knee injury – the second he’d suffered in the space of 12 months since leaving Blues – back in November and remains in rehabilitation. In the meantime, you can expect to see him in the Sky studio.
Looking forward to my first guest appearance on Sky Sports on Tuesday night for the EFL trophy semi final,” Graham posted. “Tune in and watch ya boy JG’s debut as a pundit, not one to be missed!
