**Browns RB D’Onta Foreman to Be Released from Hospital After Injury**

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. — Cleveland Browns running back D’Onta Foreman is expected to be released from the hospital on Thursday after suffering a neck injury during a kickoff drill at practice earlier in the day.

Foreman, who was wearing a padded Guardian Cap over his helmet, was immobilized on the field before being flown by helicopter from the Browns’ training camp at The Greenbrier Resort to Carilion Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, Virginia. The Browns confirmed that X-rays and other imaging tests returned negative results, and the 28-year-old running back is expected to return to the team soon.

The incident occurred when Foreman took a direct blow to the head during the drill, which resulted in neck pain. Despite the severity of the situation, Foreman maintained movement in all his extremities, a positive sign given the circumstances. Medical staff on site provided immediate care, strapping Foreman to a backboard before he was transported by ambulance a short distance to the helicopter.

Following Foreman’s departure, the Browns continued their practice. After the session concluded, head trainer Joe Sheehan spoke to the team, and players and coaches took a knee in a moment of prayer for their injured teammate.

“It’s tough,” linebacker Jordan Hicks remarked. “It’s part of football. It’s probably the worst part of football, but we’ve got a great medical team and we’re praying and hoping for the best.”

Foreman joined the Browns as a free agent in March, adding depth to the running back position as Nick Chubb continues his recovery from a season-ending knee injury and subsequent surgeries.

Entering his seventh NFL season, Foreman was originally drafted by the Houston Texans in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft after a standout career at Texas. He has played for several teams over his career, including two seasons each with the Texans and Titans, and one season each with the Panthers and Bears. Foreman has amassed 2,326 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns across his career. Last season, he rushed for 425 yards and four touchdowns in nine games with the Bears.

The Browns will eagerly anticipate Foreman’s return to the field as they continue to prepare for the upcoming season.
