The Miami Hurricanes have commitments from three Top 100 talents: Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman interior offensive lineman Seuseu Alofaituli (No. 56 overall), Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy linebacker Gavin Nix (No. 88 overall), and Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin safety Hylton Stubbs (No. 99 overall).
Additional commitments include Leo (Ind.) tight end Brock Schott (No. 143 overall), Seffner (Fla.) Armwood running back Girard Pringle Jr. (No. 170 overall), and Miami (Fla.) Central safety Amari Wallace (No. 190 overall). Miami’s quarterback commit, Luke Nickel, saw his rating increase from an ’88’ to an ’89’.
Miami remains in contention for several five-star prospects, including Savannah (Ga.) Christian Prep defensive lineman Elijah Griffin (No. 8), Tampa (Fla.) Zephyrhills cornerback DJ Pickett (No. 9), Edwardsville (Ill.) EDGE Iose Epenesa (No. 16), Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin wide receiver Jaime Ffrench (No. 25), and Draper (Utah) Corner Canyon wide receiver Jerome Myles (No. 30).
Two rising pass catchers are Orlando (Fla.) Jones’ Vernell Brown III (No. 36 overall) and Tampa Bay (Fla.) Tech’s Dallas Wilson (No. 40 overall). Miami also continues to recruit Vero Beach (Fla.) linebacker TJ Alford (No. 72). Miami (Fla.) Booker T. Washington cornerback Ben Hanks Jr. is No. 81 overall, and New Iberia (La.) Westgate cornerback Jaboree Antoine remains at No. 138 overall.
