Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic will be part of the Slovenian national team competing in the pre-Olympic qualifier in Greece.

Before departing for Piraeus, Slovenia’s national team revealed its final 12-man roster, with Doncic leading the lineup. The team includes Vlatko Cancar, Ziga Dimec, Zoran Dragic, Gregor Hrovat, Edo Muric, Josh Nebo, Aleksej Nikolic, Klemen Prepelic, Leon Stergar, Luka Scuka, and Miha Cerkvenik.

Slovenia’s head coach, Aleksander Sekulic, expressed confidence in the squad as they prepare to face Croatia in their first Group Phase match. Despite limited practice opportunities, including Doncic joining 5-on-5 practice just one day before their victory over Brazil, Sekulic is pleased with the team’s preparations.

“Everyone who is ready to compete and train for the common good for three weeks deserves a place on the national team, but unfortunately, there is only room for twelve basketball players,” Sekulic said. “We have had excellent preparations, and although we missed a few days of training, I think other national teams have similar issues. We have to make the most of what we have, and I believe we succeeded.”
