**Titans Coach Has Great Quote About Signing Calvin Ridley**

Tennessee Titans Head Coach Brian Callahan is beaming with pride after acquiring a star player from a division rival this offseason.

In March, Calvin Ridley inked a 4-year, $92 million deal with the Titans. Many anticipated the veteran wide receiver would stay with the Jacksonville Jaguars, but reports indicate his former team couldn’t match Tennessee’s offer.

Callahan talked about signing Ridley on the latest episode of “The Adam Schefter Podcast,” released on Tuesday. The new head coach praised Ridley, noting the added satisfaction of acquiring him from Jacksonville.

“I believe in everything he stands for. He’s a consummate professional and immensely talented. He’s one of the best route-runners I’ve seen—quick, fast, explosive,” Callahan said. “Additionally, he’s got a great personality. Having him here and snatching him from a division rival certainly adds a bit of sweetness to it.”

Callahan, who spent the last five seasons in the AFC North with the Cincinnati Bengals, is already strategizing how to outmaneuver his new division rivals, much to the delight of Titans fans.

Ridley posted 76 catches for 1,016 yards and 8 touchdowns with Jacksonville last year. While money likely played a major role in his decision to join the Titans, he mentioned another reason as well.
