breaking news: After George Pickens’ identity is revealed, the NFL squad is taken aback by the Steelers’ assessment of Justin Fields.

The quarterback position is now manned by two new players for the Pittsburgh Steelers. As part of a minor retooling effort, the team acquired Justin Fields and Russell Wilson over the offseason.

Even if there are concerns about who will start for them, this season’s quarterback competition is incredibly intriguing to fans.George Pickens will be one of the best offensive weapons available to Fields and Wilson. Because of his ability to catch contested passes, the young wide receiver for the Steelers is among the finest in the league. It comes out that Fields and Pickens have a past. The former Chicago Bear remembered an incident in which he and Pickens were pitted against one another in high school.

Fields remarked, “I knew George before y’all knew George.” George and I go back to high school. He has never changed. Just a wild receiver and a freak athlete. When no one is around, you can just toss it up there, and chances are he’ll come down with it. I’ve known him as the same player since high school.

If Fields does eventually get the start, he will have a field day with Pickens. The top wide receiver for the Steelers made his career by collecting the most ridiculous passes from his quarterbacks. He is an excellent receiver whose pass-catching ability alone can enhance a quarterback’s playmaking ability.

That is entirely different, though, than whether Fields plays in Week 1. Wilson is expected to start for the Steelers in Week 1 according to current consensus, which makes sense. As the more seasoned player, Russ has shown that he can at least pass for a quarterback. The Steelers would much rather win as quickly as possible, given their current style of play.

It’s not unreasonable to think that Fields will get a shot at starting at some point in the season, though. Russ is getting older, and he’s shown signs of declining play over the last few years. Playing in a heavily-controlled system such as the one Sean Payton drew up for Denver helped him a bit. However, under a… let’s say, less proven offense led by Arthur Smith, Russ might crack for the Steelers.

Regarding Fields, it’s still unclear if he’s a bad quarterback or a talented one who was misapplied. Fields has a great rushing game, and the Bears were at their best when they let him to run. In order to stretch the defense, he is also excellent at delivering deep balls. While there are advantages, it’s difficult to overlook the drawbacks. His poor on-field processing continues to result in needless sacks. We were aware of the issue in this location, yet it persists to this day.

He will get the opportunity to demonstrate to the Steelers that he can succeed under a new coach’s tutelage. Many supporters point to Fields’s unquestionably poor coaching and the changing cast of head coaches and assistant coaches that surround him in support of him.
