QB Justin Fields of the Steelers: Russell Wilson has been a fantastic mentor and colleague.

This offseason, the Pittsburgh Steelers adopted a fresh strategy for their quarterback room. Mitch Trubisky, Mason Rudolph, offensive coordinator Matt Canada, and Kenny Pickett were gone. Along with quarterbacks coach Tom Arth, new offensive coordinator Arthur Smith, Justin Fields, and Russell Wilson are all in.

As OTAs have progressed over the previous few weeks, Steelers supporters, along with fans across the NFL, have been keeping a close eye on the rivalry between Wilson and Fields. Even though it’s a competition, the quarterbacks haven’t stopped complimenting one another.

When asked about his relationship with Wilson following Thursday’s final OTA session, Fields gave him a high evaluation.

Fields remarked, “Just learning from him every day has been great.” “His behavior with his teammates. He’s performed admirably. a fantastic colleague to me. a fantastic mentor to me.

Although Mike Tomlin has stated that Wilson is in “pole position,” the head coach of the Steelers has also reaffirmed that Fields is being given the chance to compete for the position.
