### Legal Update: Jordan Dingle and Chris Ledlum
According to Zach Braziller of the New York Post, a Queens judge has denied Jordan Dingle and Chris Ledlum’s request for injunctive relief, effectively ending their college basketball careers.

**Background**
Last month, Dingle and Ledlum applied for fifth-year waivers, which the NCAA promptly denied. The duo then sued the NCAA, seeking a temporary restraining order (TRO) to gain a fifth season of eligibility. Both players started their collegiate careers in the Ivy League (Ledlum at Harvard, Dingle at Penn) and missed the 2020-21 season when the Ivy League canceled winter sports due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

While the NCAA doesn’t count the 2020-21 season towards eligibility for athletes who played during the COVID-affected season, Ivy League athletes could not benefit from this exemption.

**Transfers and Final Seasons**
Ledlum and Dingle transferred to St. John’s before the 2023-24 season to use their final year of eligibility. In their sole seasons at St. John’s:
– **Dingle**: Averaged 11.6 points, 1.7 assists, with shooting percentages of 44% from the field, 31% from three, and 75% from the free throw line.
– **Ledlum**: Averaged 9.5 points, 6.9 rebounds, with shooting percentages of 43% from the field, 32% from three, and 71% from the free throw line.

**St. John’s Future Plans**
The St. John’s men’s basketball team has one scholarship available for the 2024-25 season and is looking to use it on a starting-caliber power forward. They are targeting Florida State forward Jamir Watkins, who is currently declared for the NBA draft. Watkins has until May 29 to withdraw from the draft to maintain his college eligibility.
