The Argentine left-back, who has previously been connected to a move to Villa Park, is reportedly “about to join” Villa.

Acuna stated last month that “personal” problems between Monchi and Sevilla president Jose Castro prevented him from being transferred to Villa.

Last summer, Acuna was rumored to be moving to Villa Park, but he chose to remain in Spain. Speaking publicly about the failed deal, Acuna asserted that Villa had presented Sevilla with “an important offer.”

“They weren’t rumors; I was the one impacted. Sevilla had a significant offer, but it wasn’t closed for the president’s and Monchi’s personal reasons,” he stated. “I feel like I didn’t deserve it because I would have received a sizable sum of money, but that has already occurred, so right now I’m concentrating on the remaining dates.”

Regarding his future, Acuna acknowledged that it remains undetermined. He then on, “I think I have a contract until 2025, but I’m not sure.” “I have to play games, accrue minutes, and then see what happens next.”

“I’m not sure. Both I and the other members of the group have faith in ourselves. After that, I’m not interested in what others outside of me say. I believe I have given it my all in every game I have played. I always try to give it my all.
