An update on Naismith injuries
Sam Naismith had an ACL injury yesterday at Sandringham and will be sidelined for the rest of the season.
Sam Naismith, a ruckman, had an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear during yesterday’s VFL game at Sandringham, according to scans.
The 31-year-old Naismith became a member of the Club in November after being delisted as a free agent, and he made his AFL debut against Gold Coast in the Opening Round.
Prior to the injury, he had played in two more AFL games and was playing well at the VFL level.
Over the course of ten years, Naismith has participated in 33 AFL games for both Sydney and Richmond.
