What needs to happen for Sean McVay to have a new office?
Maybe in jest, the head coach said a few hurtful things about the position he has occupied for the most of his tenure with the Rams.
In addition to being a master at football, Sean McVay is also a highly entertaining person. The NFL is a business that combines entertainment and athletics. In the video interview that you can see below, McVay discusses a variety of subjects. He talks about the recently announced schedule release, the offense and team of the Los Angeles Rams, and he also takes some time to express his interest in moving to a new workplace.
According to McVay, the office he has been working from was intended to be a “temporary” space. Nevertheless, based on the details he provided in the interview, McVay’s notion of temporary and the Rams’ understanding might differ.
“I’ve been working in this temporary office for the past eight years…They stated, “This would be a temporary facility,” when I was employed in 2017. We will see whether we can cross the Woodland Hills as we are currently in our ninth year of this endeavor. Man, I feel like I’m imprisoned in this thing.
The ESPN crew can be heard genuinely chuckling in the background, and the head coach appears to be giving them what they want as he sports an all-world smile.
“Hey, listen, all I’m doing in this thing is fighting, scratching, and clawing for a window.”
Maybe McVay really does adore that office and doesn’t want a window. He’s certainly made a lot of progress in getting out of it. The head coach whining about something most office workers can relate to—their workplace space—still makes me laugh. However, it’s likely that many employees have heard management say this before: “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
