Former NFL Hall of Fame wide receiver Terrell Owens shared his thoughts after his son, Terique, signed with the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent. While other NFL legends like Marvin Harrison and Jerry Rice saw their sons drafted, Owens expressed gratitude for the opportunity given to Terique by his former team. He mentioned that although they would have preferred a draft selection, they are proud of Terique’s determination to forge his own path in football. Owens emphasized the importance of Terique being true to himself and highlighted his potential despite limited playing time in college, noting that he possesses talent comparable to drafted receivers. Terique, who previously played at Florida Atlantic before transferring to Missouri State, showcased his abilities with 28 receptions for 528 yards last season. However, he faces a competitive wide receiver group in San Francisco, including established players like Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk, as well as recent draftees such as Jauan Jennings and Ricky Pearsall.
