Three takeaways from UVA women's basketball's loss at Duke - Streaking The Lawn

Virginia Women’s Basketball has secured their second offseason transfer with the signing of Latasha Lattimore from Miami. Standing at 6’4 and hailing from Toronto, Lattimore began her collegiate journey at Texas before moving to Miami for her sophomore season. Despite her moderate statistics, Lattimore’s talent as a versatile forward aligns well with Coach Mox’s fast-paced style of play. Notably, she was ranked 38th among high school prospects by ESPN W in the 2021 class and is the highest-ranked prospect from Canada. Her adaptability was evident in a game against Virginia earlier in the season, where she showcased her scoring, rebounding, and defensive skills. Alongside Maryland transfer Hawa Doumbouya, Lattimore joins returning Cavaliers Taylor Lauterbach and Edessa Noyan in the frontcourt, tasked with filling the gap left by the departure of Camryn Taylor, who has signed with the WNBA’s Minnesota Lynx. Lattimore’s addition brings Virginia’s scholarship count for the 2024-25 season to 10, leaving room for further recruitment as Coach Mox shapes the team.
