BREAKING NEWS: Dallas Mavericks Confirm Departure of Another Experienced Star……

Clippers' Kawhi Leonard to return from knee injury for Game 2 vs. Mavericks - The Athletic

Kawhi Leonard will be absent from Sunday’s Game 4 against the Dallas Mavericks due to inflammation in his right knee, as confirmed by the Associated Press. Despite participating in the second and third games of the series following his absence from the final eight regular-season games and the series opener, Leonard’s performance in Game 3 was notably hindered. He managed only nine points on seven shots, marking his lowest playoff scoring output in a decade, with just 25 minutes of play. The Clippers did secure a victory in the series opener sans Leonard, propelled by James Harden’s impressive 28-point performance, including six successful 3-pointers. Paul George, who contributed 22 points in each of the initial two games, struggled in Game 3, tallying only seven points. Leonard’s regular-season participation amounted to 68 games, marking his highest number since the 2016-17 season with the San Antonio Spurs.
