Tyler Herro, Heat shoot down Celtics in Game 2 | Reuters

Tyler Herro played a pivotal role in the Miami Heat’s game two victory against the Boston Celtics, helping the Heat tie the series at 1-1. Miami entered the game trailing 0-1 but turned the tide with an impressive display of three-point shooting, making 23 out of 43 attempts from beyond the arc. This performance surpassed their previous playoff record of 20 threes made in the 2021 Playoffs against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Heat Head Coach Erik Spoelstra emphasized the necessity of taking and making three-pointers, especially considering the Celtics’ defensive strategy in the first two games. Tyler Herro stood out with 24 points, shooting 7-for-13 overall and 6-for-11 from three-point range. He also contributed four perfect free throws, five rebounds, 14 assists, and a steal. Herro mentioned postgame that Jimmy Butler, despite being absent due to injury, motivated him via text message before the game.
