This matchup will see the Cougars traveling cross-country to Rhode Island to take on the Friars. The BYU-Providence game is just one of eleven exciting matchups scheduled for the Big 12-Big East battle, with other notable games including Baylor facing UConn and Kansas taking on Creighton.
Last season, Providence concluded with a 21-14 overall record. They made a notable appearance in the Big East tournament, defeating teams like Georgetown and Creighton before reaching the semifinals against Marquette. Although they fell to Marquette, Providence secured a 3-seed in the NIT but unfortunately lost to Boston College in the tournament’s first round.
