The NBA and Denver law enforcement are examining an altercation involving a man, potentially one of Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic’s siblings, who was observed striking a fan following the Nuggets’ narrow 101-99 triumph against the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA playoffs.
Various videos, including footage from TMZ, depict the individual climbing across seats to confront someone at Ball Arena, ultimately delivering a punch to the individual’s face.
According to TMZ, this incident occurred on Monday night immediately after the Nuggets staged an impressive comeback, erasing a 20-point deficit to secure a 2-0 lead in the first-round series.
A spokesperson for the NBA mentioned on Tuesday that the league is actively investigating the situation.
In an email to The Associated Press, the Denver police media relations unit stated that they are conducting an investigation, although no one has formally reported the incident at the arena or post-game.
“The Department is working to identify the person in the video who was struck and encourages anyone involved or who saw this to contact the Denver Police Department,” the email noted.
