University of Iowa’s standout guard Caitlin Clark has been recognized as the 2023-24 Academic All-America Team Member of the Year in women’s basketball, as announced by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) on Tuesday. This marks Clark’s second consecutive year receiving this prestigious award, making her the seventh player to achieve back-to-back honors. She has also been named to the first team for the third time in her career, having previously received this accolade in the 2021-22 season.

Hailing from West Des Moines, Iowa, Clark maintains an impressive 3.64 GPA while pursuing a major in marketing. Additionally, Clark played a crucial role in guiding the Hawkeyes to consecutive National Championship appearances and became the first Division-I player to achieve over 1,000 points in back-to-back seasons.

Joining Clark in earning repeat selections on the Academic All-America Division I team are Ayoka Lee from Kansas State University, Mackenzie Holmes from Indiana University, Hannah Jump from Stanford University, and Elizabeth Kitley from Virginia Tech, all of whom have demonstrated exceptional academic and athletic achievements throughout their collegiate careers.
