College Basketball Transfer Portal 2024: Providence Secures Bensley Joseph;  Top 50 Players Updated - BVM Sports

Miami guard Bensley Joseph is set to transfer to Providence, as reported by Brandon Jenkins. The junior guard, standing at 6 feet 2 inches and weighing 195 pounds, hails from Arlington, Massachusetts. Joseph made this decision after visiting Providence’s campus and will bring his skills to the Friars’ roster.

During the past season with the Hurricanes, Joseph played in 32 games and maintained averages of 9.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game, showcasing his versatility and contribution to the team. His shooting accuracy from beyond the arc stood at 36.4 percent.

Joseph’s commitment adds him to the incoming players for Providence, joining three-star freshman Ryan Mela. Additionally, there’s anticipation for the potential addition of four-star junior Erhunmwunse Oswin to the team.

Upon joining Providence, Joseph will have one season of eligibility remaining. The transfer portal, through which Joseph made his move, opened on March 18th and will close on May 1st. This off-season also sees changes in transfer rules, with transfers expected to be immediately eligible for the upcoming 2024-25 season, as per the NCAA’s recent memo.
