Charleston transfer forward James Scott is committing to Louisville - columbus

Louisville has welcomed James Scott, a transfer from Charleston, to their team, adding another skilled player to their roster. This move comes as Scott joins his former coach Pat Kelsey and teammate Reyne Smith at Louisville, marking a significant addition to their lineup.

Scott, a 6’11 forward weighing 210 pounds, showcased his potential during his time at Charleston, despite averaging just 16 minutes per game last season. His impressive stats include blocking 45 shots and shooting an impressive 79.0 percent from the field, primarily scoring through dunks and close-range shots.

With Scott and Smith now on board, they become the first two confirmed members of Coach Kelsey’s upcoming 2024-25 Louisville team. The only remaining player from last year’s squad who has yet to enter the transfer portal is sophomore point guard Ty-Laur Johnson.
