Leeds United 'eye' transfer move for Sunderland star but face Aston Villa and Napoli competition - Leeds Live

Leeds United, Aston Villa, and Leicester City are among the clubs showing interest in Sunderland’s rising star Trai Hume, according to reports. Despite being just 22 years old, Hume has become a key player for both Sunderland and Northern Ireland, featuring in every league game this season with 40 appearances to his name.

The Belfast Telegraph reports that Leeds United is one of the clubs eyeing Hume, along with Aston Villa, Leicester City, AFC Bournemouth, and Napoli. Losing Hume would be a setback for Sunderland, who signed him from Linfield in 2022, where he has since made 78 appearances and contributed three goals and three assists.

Hume’s versatility, able to play across defense and midfield, makes him an attractive prospect for Leeds, especially given their right-back options have faced challenges with injuries and loan spells.
