3 San Francisco 49ers who could be traded if they keep Brandon Aiyuk long-term

Here are three potential first-round picks that would suit the Buffalo Bills in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft:

1. Wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr., LSU
The Bills have a need to strengthen their receiving unit following Stefon Diggs’ underwhelming performance in 2023 and Gabe Davis’ departure to Jacksonville. Although Curtis Samuel was signed, Buffalo still lacks a prototypical X receiver for Josh Allen. Brian Thomas Jr., while not on the same level as Malik Nabers, brings impressive physicality and productivity, having caught 68 passes for 1,177 yards and 17 touchdowns in 13 games last season. Thomas also showcased outstanding athleticism at the NFL Scouting Combine, ranking among the top wide receivers in speed and agility metrics. With his size, athleticism, and ability to gain yards after the catch, Thomas could elevate the Bills’ offense.

2. Center Jackson Powers-Johnson, Oregon
With Mitch Morse’s departure, the center position is a concern for Buffalo, despite Connor McGovern’s potential to step in. Jackson Powers-Johnson, considered the top center prospect in this draft class, presents a compelling option. Although teams may not value him as highly as media reports suggest, Powers-Johnson’s track record at Oregon is impressive, with no sacks allowed over three seasons and minimal pressure surrendered in 2023. While center may not be the Bills’ top priority, Powers-Johnson’s talent warrants consideration.

3. Safety Tyler Nubin, Minnesota
Following the departure of Jordan Poyer and uncertainty around Micah Hyde, the Bills could benefit from additional depth at safety. Tyler Nubin, a fringe first-round prospect, stands out as a potential top safety in a relatively weak positional group. At 6-foot-1 and 199 pounds, Nubin brings size and playmaking ability, evident in his impressive stats at Minnesota, including 13 career interceptions. Given Buffalo’s limited interceptions from safeties last season, Nubin’s ball-hawking skills could significantly boost their defense.
