Lions Connected to 3-Time All-Pro CB Patrick Peterson

The Detroit Lions have been linked to former defensive back Patrick Peterson, who was previously signed to a $70 million deal with the Arizona Cardinals. Bleacher Report’s Alex Ballentine suggested that Peterson could be a potential addition to the Lions, especially considering their recent need to replace cornerback Cameron Sutton, who was released.

Peterson, a three-time All-Pro cornerback, was released by the Pittsburgh Steelers in a cost-cutting move. Despite his age, Peterson has maintained solid performance metrics, starting 16 games last season and showcasing versatility by playing at safety as well.

While Peterson’s elite status may have waned in recent years, he still offers valuable experience and flexibility. He could contribute as a starter or provide depth, especially given the Lions’ recent cornerback acquisitions. Peterson’s ability to play multiple positions and handle a significant number of defensive snaps makes him an intriguing option for Detroit as they seek to bolster their secondary.
