The Los Angeles Rams’ 2023 NFL Draft class, curated by Les Snead and Sean McVay, has been highly successful. They not only secured several day-one starters but also identified multiple rookie of the year contenders despite their first pick coming at #36 overall.

Wide receiver Puka Nacua has swiftly risen to prominence, amassing 1,667 receiving yards and seven touchdowns in 17 regular-season games and the wildcard match against the Detroit Lions. Despite Cooper Kupp’s presence, Nacua has become a key target for the Rams.

Steve Avila, Kobie Turner, Byron Young, and Ethan Evans, starters from their rookie year, are looking to progress in their sophomore seasons. Avila transitions to center after playing left guard initially, while Turner and Young are crucial in filling the void left by Aaron Donald’s retirement.

The question for 2024 is which player from the draft class will step up in their second year?

Stetson Bennett, QB
Les Snead mentioned Bennett’s offseason training and plans to join the team for workouts. With Jimmy Garoppolo backing up Matthew Stafford, Bennett has an opportunity to audition for the backup role in the future.

Nick Hampton, OLB
Ochaun Mathis, OLB
Hampton showed promise with better pass-rushing stats than Mathis, earning a higher PFF grade. The Rams are seeking improvement at the edge rusher position.

Warren McClendon, OT
McClendon, despite limited playtime in 2023, has potential, having competed with Amarius Mims at Georgia.

Davis Allen, TE
Allen made the most of his chances last year, displaying reliability in catching passes. He earned trust from the quarterback and contributed positively in critical moments.
