Tim Sinclair’s journey from studying architecture at the University of Illinois to becoming the voice of the Chicago Bulls is a fascinating one. It all started when he needed to earn some extra money while in college, leading him to work at a radio station where he discovered his talent for using his voice professionally.

Back in 1997, Sinclair took on a part-time job at a radio station, which eventually opened doors for him in the world of sports announcing. He began by doing public address announcing for Illini Baseball, and soon, he expanded to cover multiple sports for the University of Illinois. This unexpected career path transformed Sinclair from a would-be architect into a successful announcer.

Over the past two and a half decades, Sinclair has established himself as a prominent figure in the sports announcing industry. He is currently under contract with four teams: the Bulls, Bears, Fire, and Illini Men’s Basketball. Additionally, he is involved in NBA All-Star events and IHSA Championships, totaling over 100 events each year.

Sinclair’s distinctive voice can be heard at Bulls games, both in the arena and on TV broadcasts. He has also lent his voice to the NBA2K video game series, further solidifying his presence as the voice of basketball in Chicago.
