The Phoenix Suns have officially inked a 10-day contract with point guard Isaiah Thomas, as announced by the team in a press release.

Thomas has been showcasing his skills with the Salt Lake City Stars in the G League before this signing.

His last NBA stint was during the 2021-22 season, where he played 22 games for the Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks, and Charlotte Hornets, averaging 8.4 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 1.5 assists.

Kevin Durant expressed his excitement for Thomas, noting his persistent efforts to return to the league and his strong performances in the G League.

A two-time All-Star, Thomas boasts career averages of 17.7 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 4.8 assists across various teams in the league.

Suns coach Frank Vogel praised Thomas’s abilities, highlighting his recent G League performances as evidence of his continued capability.

The Suns, currently in eighth place in the Western Conference standings, are hoping Thomas can contribute as a ballhandler alongside Bradley Beal and Devin Booker, bringing a much-needed edge and organizational skills to the team’s offense.
