Luka Doncic’s MRI results have allayed concerns for the Dallas Mavericks, with Coach Jason Kidd sharing that there are no major issues with Doncic’s hamstring injury. This update came before the Mavericks’ upcoming game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Doncic was sidelined from the Thunder game due to left hamstring soreness after exiting early from a previous match against the Golden State Warriors.

Coach Kidd mentioned that Doncic will undergo further evaluation over the weekend, with the Mavericks’ next game scheduled against the Denver Nuggets on Sunday. This setback halted Doncic’s impressive streak of seven consecutive triple-doubles, where he fell short of extending his record-setting run before leaving the Warriors game with 21 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 assists.

Doncic had been using a heating pad on his left hamstring during the game and signaled to Coach Kidd that he needed to leave the court after an alley-oop play. Despite this interruption, Doncic’s exceptional performance throughout the season, averaging 34.3 points, 9.8 assists, and 9.0 rebounds in 58 games, has positioned him for a likely All-NBA campaign for the fifth straight season, highlighting his immense talent and importance to the Mavericks.
