Former Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco has secured a new deal in free agency, opting to join the Indianapolis Colts after a stint with the Cleveland Browns, signing a one-year contract. Flacco, known for his memorable playoff run in 2012 that culminated in a Super Bowl victory for the Ravens, brings his veteran experience to the Colts’ roster.
Despite being perceived as somewhat of a journeyman following his tenure with the Ravens, Flacco made a significant comeback last year with the Browns, leading them to the playoffs and earning the NFL’s Comeback Player of the Year award. His remarkable performance included throwing 14 touchdowns in just six games.
Flacco’s deal with the Colts is reportedly valued at up to $8.7 million, with $4.5 million guaranteed, as revealed by NFL Insider Adam Schefter. Joining the Colts puts Flacco in familiar territory, as he’ll be part of a quarterback room alongside an exceptionally talented quarterback, reminiscent of his time in Baltimore with Lamar Jackson’s emergence.
