Reportedly, a former linebacker for the Lions intends to join the Commanders after not receiving a tender offer. Anthony Pittman, known for his contributions on special teams, is set to make the move to Washington following his departure from Detroit. Pittman, who entered the league as an undrafted rookie from Wayne State in 2019, amassed a significant number of special teams snaps during his tenure with the Lions. Although there was initial interest from the Lions in retaining him, Pittman opted for unrestricted free agency after not being tendered. Alongside Pittman, other former Lions players such as Khalil Dorsey, Jerry Jacobs, Chase Lucas, Scott Daly, and Benito Jones have also become free agents after not receiving new deals.
