Luka Doncic praised his former teammate, Kristaps Porzingis, as a valuable addition to the Celtics after witnessing their mutual respect on the TD Garden court. Despite their previous partnership in Dallas from 2019-22 not reaching its full potential due to Porzingis’ trade to Washington and injury setbacks, Doncic spoke positively about Porzingis following the Celtics’ impressive win. Doncic, who recorded a typical triple-double with 37 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists, acknowledged Porzingis’ strong performance, stating, “He was just popping and shooting that thing. He’s been a great addition to them. I talked to him for a little bit. He’s really happy that he’s here, so I’m happy for him, too.” Despite the Mavericks’ recent improvement, Doncic expressed admiration for the Celtics, labeling them as the best team in the league, and acknowledged the respect between him and Celtics player Jayson Tatum. The Celtics secured their 10th consecutive victory, leaving the Mavericks eager to bounce back in future games.
