Mavericks expect to see Exum return to the NBA after a month away. The Mavericks have enjoyed a distinct coaching advantage in the playoffs - Mavs Moneyball

The Dallas Mavericks are anticipating the return of Australian guard Dante Exum following the end of their seven-game winning streak, which was halted by the Indiana Pacers in the NBA’s Western Conference.

Exum, aged 28, has been a valuable contributor to the Mavericks this season, securing a starting position alongside stars Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving and maintaining an average of 9.2 points per game. However, he has been sidelined for a month due to knee bursitis, causing him to miss the Pacers’ game, but the Mavericks are hopeful for his comeback against Cleveland on Tuesday.

In Exum’s absence, fellow Australian Josh Green had an impressive performance as a starter for the Mavericks, scoring 14 points on 6 of 8 shooting while also contributing five rebounds and two steals. Despite Green’s efforts, Doncic finished with 33 points, six assists, and six rebounds, while Irving added 29 points and six rebounds.
