In a frenzied debut at Camelback Ranch, the White Sox, led by top prospect Colson Montgomery, clashed with the Seattle Mariners as they sought redemption from their loss in the Cactus League opener. Nine pitchers were utilized by the White Sox during the game, starting with Dominic Leone, who delivered a scoreless inning. It wasn’t until the seventh inning that the Mariners managed to score, with Cole Young hitting a sacrifice fly and Samad Taylor smashing his first spring home run. Nevertheless, the White Sox offense ignited in the later stages of the game, with Brett Phillips and Eloy Jimenez each driving in runs with singles, followed by Korey Lee’s two-run homer in the following inning. Although Adisyn Coffey allowed two runs in the ninth inning, resulting in a tie, Edgar Quero sealed the victory with a walk-off single to left field.
