Former Super Bowl champion Rams re-signMatthew Stafford effect: How Rams QB transforms wide receivers - Los Angeles Times

The Los Angeles Rams have opted to retain veteran wide receiver Demarcus Robinson for at least another year.

According to NFL Media reporter Ian Rapoport, the team has reached an agreement to re-sign Robinson to a one-year contract valued at $5 million.

While much of the attention in the Rams’ wide receiver corps during the 2023 season was understandably focused on Puka Nacua, Robinson, who joined the Rams in June, proved to be another successful addition to the team.

Despite starting in just four games, the 29-year-old receiver ranked third in receiving touchdowns with four, trailing Nacua and Cooper Kupp, and fourth in receiving yards with 371.

Additionally, Robinson brought valuable experience to the Rams, who heavily relied on several young players. Throughout his eight-year career, Robinson has consistently made playoff appearances, having reached the postseason in every season he’s played.

Having spent the first six seasons of his career with the Kansas City Chiefs, including winning a Super Bowl ring with them in 2019, Robinson continued his playoff streak with stints at the Baltimore Ravens in 2022 and the Rams last season.

While it may not be expected for Robinson to produce a 1,000-yard campaign next season, he is anticipated to provide dependable depth for the Rams as they aim for another playoff run in 2024.
