A PAINFULL DEPARTURE: Gunner Stockton waves unexpected farewell to the team due to 4-major reasons…

Ethan Barbour, a TE commit, is ‘taking on the quarterback position’ as an in-class recruit.Sedrick Van Pran - Georgia Bulldogs Offensive Lineman - ESPN

Georgia’s 2025 recruiting class lacks a quarterback at the moment, prompting Ethan Barbour to step up and assume a leadership role in the interim. The tight end from Alpharetta, Georgia, pledged his commitment to the Bulldogs in September and has been a constant presence at significant games, practices, and junior day events since then. This consistent involvement has afforded him close interactions with several of Georgia’s other top prospects. With only five players currently committed to the 2025 class, Barbour has taken it upon himself to actively contribute to building the class from within.

“I’m essentially taking on the responsibilities of a quarterback. Typically, the quarterback is the one who recruits everyone. That’s what I’m aiming to do,” Barbour explained to Dawgs247. “I’m working on recruiting players for both the defensive and offensive sides of the ball.”
