Keon Sabb Uses the NCAA Transfer Portal to Show Which Universities Have Messaged Him.
Keon Sabb, a former defensive back from the Michigan Wolverines, has recently entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, and the Tennessee Volunteers have expressed interest in recruiting him.
Sabb, who played a crucial role in the Wolverines’ successful season leading to their first national championship since 1997, showcased his skills during his redshirt freshman year with 28 tackles, four pass deflections, and two interceptions. Initially expected to be a significant contributor to the team in the upcoming season, Sabb’s decision to enter the transfer portal followed the departure of head coach Jim Harbaugh to the NFL.
A member of the 2022 recruiting class, Sabb was ranked as the No. 96 prospect in his cycle, according to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings. With offers from 34 programs, Sabb made official visits to prominent schools such as Clemson, Georgia, Michigan, Penn State, and Texas A&M. Tennessee, led by head coach Jeremy Pruitt at the time, extended an offer to Sabb.
Since entering the transfer portal, Sabb has garnered interest from eighteen schools, including Tennessee. The competitive landscape for his recruitment includes several national powerhouses. Known for seeking elite-level defenders for their secondary, Tennessee sees Sabb as a fitting candidate. Currently, Sabb holds the status of the No. 2 available prospect in the transfer portal and is ranked at No. 57 overall in this recruiting cycle. He still possesses three seasons of eligibility.
